Data Storage Corporation Announces Agreement to Acquire a Majority Interest in e-ternity Business Continuity Consultants Inc.
Adds Blue Chip Enterprise Customer Base and Greatly Expands North American Cloud Infrastructure-as-a-Service Platform
GARDEN CITY, NY -- (Marketwire) -- 05/30/12 -- Data Storage Corporation (OTCBB: DTST), a long-standing leader in cloud storage and cloud computing for over 10 years focusing on data protection and business continuity solutions, today announced that it has executed a term sheet to acquire 80% of the outstanding shares of privately held e-ternity Business Continuity Consultants Inc. ("e-ternity") of Toronto, Canada. Once the acquisition is completed, Data Storage Corporation intends to operate e-ternity as an independent subsidiary and add its "pay-as-you go" Cloud Computing solution to its full suite of hosted Disaster Recovery and High Availably offerings serving customers in the financial, educational, manufacturing, professional services and technology industries. The transaction, approved by e-ternity's shareholders, is comprised of cash and restricted common stock and is subject to customary closing conditions including due diligence. Additional details of the transaction were not disclosed.
